About Kristin

Kristin brings 20 years of consulting, training, and coaching experience to the table.  Whether working with Fortune 500 companies on strategic service initiatives, or assisting mom and pop ventures in creating uniquely satisfying customer experiences, she realizes that the fundamental need is clear and effective communication.   

This theme comes across in Kristin’s consulting and writing.   (Kristin is author or coauthor of six business books, including Customer Relationship Management with Carol Kerr, published by McGraw-Hill, and the breakthrough bestseller Delivering Knock Your Socks Off Service with Ron Zemke and published by AMACOM Books.)  In addition to her work in consulting and training, Kristin is a qualified mediator and a skilled facilitator.  Guiding individuals and groups through a decision making process, creating a space within which participants can hear others and express themselves, or providing the neutral perspective in emotionally charged situations, are all part of her work.

In addition to being president of Say What? Consulting, Kristin works with Mediation Center for Dispute Resolution at Hamline University.  Kristin is a graduate of St. Olaf College, and did graduate studies in Speech Communication at the University of Minnesota.  She a qualified neutral under Rule 114 of the Minnesota General Rules of Practice (ADR I.D. #3488) for family and civil matters.  Kristin also serves on the Advisory Board for the Innocence Project of Minnesota.

Along with her husband Chuck, son John, and cat Jasper, Kristin lives in Golden Valley, Minnesota.
